Welcome to magical Mývatn, Yuletide wonderland

The advent season in Mývatn started Saturday 22nd of November with invitation of the Yule lads to their home of Dimmuborgir.

They got 400 visitiors in one hour and everybody had a great time.

The Icelandic Yule lads invited people to join with them coffee and cakes, homemade by themself with little help from locals.

During the Advent season various fun eventes are planned in Mývatn.

The Yule lads showed up for their annual Christmas bath in Mývatn nature bath 6th of December and over 200 people join the bath with them.

Crafty local ladies invitied people to learn hoe to make the unique Icelandic Christmas bread called Laufabrauð or "Leaf bread" and we remind that you can visit the Yule lads, daily between 1 and 3 pm, in their home of Dimmuborgir.
